The upcoming release of Call of Duty: Back Ops 4 has become one of the most hyped launches in franchise history.
While the title will feature multiplayer and a number of other CoD classics, the addition of a Battle Royale mode named ‘Blackout’ has the community abuzz.
Blackout is set to be an enormous map that will pay homage to past Call of Duty installations and features all in one, central area.
In an article by GameInformer, it was revealed that the fan-favorite ‘Nuketown’ map will be renamed as ‘Nuketown Island’ in Blackout, and be its own location on the map.

“As a whole, Blackout draws from Black Ops’ history, letting you play as characters from the franchise and having several locations and multiplayer maps from Black Ops turned into locations on the map (like fan-favorite Nuketown being turned into Nuketown Island)”
Treyarch has started to tease certain Blackout map locations by sending images to large personalities from around the Call of Duty community, however, the full map will likely be revealed for the first time during the Blackout Beta on Monday, September 10 for PS4.
