OpTic caster and content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop was participating in the Doritos Bowl Blackout tournament when he realized he’d been wearing his headphones backward, which completely flipped his game audio.
CouRage Tweeted about his blunder after the fact, stating that he hadn’t realized his mistake until he was already 20 minutes into the tournament.
“Putting your headset on backwards will flip all the audio,” he wrote. “Took me 20 minutes to figure that out live on stage in a $250,000 tournament.”
However, CouRage wasn’t the only one to make this mistake – popular streamer Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo confirmed that he, too, had worn his headphones backward.
“Same lol,” he replied, to which one user responded, “Y’all are getting old.”

The Doritos Bowl marks the first inaugural tournament for Blackout, Black Ops 4’s brand new battle royale mode. The tournament features four teams of four players each, headed by major streamers Ninja, Shroud, Dr Lupo, and CouRage, himself. The Bowl is being streamed live from TwitchCon 2018 in San Jose, California.
The Bowl is even allowing fans to take part in the action: by jumping into a game during the times assigned on the Doritos website, players may find themselves in a match with the pros.
