Twitch star Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar fell victim to yet another Molotov mistake after he accidentally engulfed himself in flames because he was unable to use armor and heals in Call of Duty: Warzone.
Long-time fans of Summit will know that he has a bit of an up-and-down relationship with throwing Molotovs – no matter what game he is playing. It all stems from his infamous mistake while playing at DreamHack Austin for Splyce’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team when he killed himself with his own Molotov as they were on the edge of capturing a victory.
Since then, the mistake has haunted him in games like CS:GO, Call of Duty, and even Escape From Tarkov – though he did get a bit of revenge when he got a direct kill with the flames in a CS:GO game in August. Despite that, it appears that he still can’t escape making the same mistakes.
During his March 15 stream, the former CS:GO player had been playing matches of the newly-released Warzone battle royale when he was downed by an enemy but received a pick-up instead of heading to the Gulag.
Upon getting back to his feet though, Summit was unable to use the armor he had collected in order to give himself a health boost. With the glitch proving to be pretty annoying, he and his teammates had the bright idea to have him be knocked once again to try and see if that fixed things.

However as the streamer had no grenades in his arsenal, he had to find one via floor loot. He quickly stumbled across a Molotov and tried to down himself and scoot out of the flames so he could be revived.
Instead, Summit didn’t escape the fire and found himself headed to the Gulag. Once he realized the mistake he made, the popular streamer threw his head in his hands as his teammates and viewers fell about themselves laughing.
Of course, it was probably the right idea from Summit and his squad to try and counter the glitch by heading back down, but dying to his own Molotov made the whole thing pretty comical for everyone involved.
No matter how far he tries to distance himself from the mistake, the 1G curse always finds a way to get the last laugh.
