Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD tested every new Perk in Warzone Season 1, coming out with some surprising results on which ones are the best to use.
Warzone features 16 Perks, making it a difficult task only to select three. Dexterity is a popular Perk 1 choice because it reduces weapon motion while jumping, sliding, and diving. In addition, you take less fall damage.
As for Perk 2, players have generally gravitated toward Quick Fix for the health regeneration bonus or Sprinter to Tactical Sprint indefinitely.
JGOD provided evidence as to why players should stop using these Perks and gave an alternative combination that offers exciting benefits.
Despite Dexterity shining in Black Ops 6 multiplayer, JGOD had a much different experience with the perk in Warzone.
“Unfortunately, in the testing, there is no noticeable difference in motion from jumping, sliding, or diving, JGOD said. “It will hopefully get fixed at some point later on.”
In the previous iteration of Warzone, the Mountaineer Perk doubled the height from which you could fall. However, JGOD found that Dexterity only offers a 15% increase, translating to a 16.5-meter lethal fall distance compared to Mountaineer’s 29 meters. It’s a clear step down.
So, instead, the YouTuber suggests using Scavenger. All your weapons start with max ammo, and enemies drop ammo, one of each of your Tactical and Lethal equipment items, one plate, and extra cash.
“I would probably go with Scavenger because you get the guaranteed plate, restock your ammunition or Stim a little bit easier, and you won’t have any ammo issues,” JGOD explained.
Moving on to Perk 2, Quick Fix is supposed to start health regeneration after you kill an enemy or equip an armor plate, but JGOD unearthed a glitch that equipping armor plates does not trigger the ability.
Also, even though you can simultaneously equip plates with one hand and hip-fire, JGOD found that the animation is much slower than usual.

As for Sprinter, which makes it possible to Tactical Sprint indefinitely, JGOD argued, “There is not really a lot of value in this Perk because if you get used to swapping to your melee, you can also take advantage of unlimited Tac-Sprint.”
“I don’t really like Quick Fix because it relies on the down. Tracker is probably going to be the way to go.”
Tracker allows you to see enemy footsteps, and bullets you fire briefly mark an enemy for you and your squad. JGOD found that enemies that down you are automatically pinged doesn’t work at the moment, but the Perk does have a new feature that changes the color of footsteps based on how recent they are.
Finally, for Perk 3, JGOD was pleasantly surprised by Alertness. If you are within 30 meters of any enemy that doesn’t have Cold Blooded equipped, you will see a message on your screen saying “Enemy Nearby.”
On top of that, you will get an on-screen indicator when an enemy is looking at you from any direction under 200 meters away, making this the best Perk 3 option.
“I think Alertness is super powerful until people start using Cold Blooded,” JGOD said. “I would probably go Alertness so I know when somebody is looking at me.”
Alternatively for Perk 3 JGOD recommends, “Resolute for super aggressive players trying to finesse, I think Resolute is super good.”
Resolute boosts movement speed for a short duration while taking damage. This Perk got even more powerful in the most recent update, as Stim Shots were buffed to provide an even bigger speed boost. You’ll want to take Stim Shots to get the most out of this perk.
In conclusion, JGOD’s favorite combination is:
- Perk 1: Scavenger
- Perk 2: Tracker
- Perk 3: Alertness
