Call of Duty players have voiced their discontent with the lack of one-shot sniper options in Warzone, with many being left disappointed by the fact it’s not like how things used to be.
Sniping has always played an important role in Call of Duty but when it comes to Warzone, it’s been especially important. In the early days of Verdansk, when the map was so wide open and players were still figuring out their playstyles, snipers ruled the day across the long open spaces – especially with a thermal scope.
Over time, the art of sniping has been affected by changes from the developers – especially when you talk about one-shotting an enemy. Things did get a little out of hand with the Kar98 and one-shot snipers in Caldera, leading to them being removed for some time.
So, players were naturally excited when it was announced that they’d play a role in Modern Warfare 3’s Warzone update. However, the lack of options is an annoyance.
Warzone players want more one-shot snipers in Urzikstan
Despite the wide range of choices in-game, the only one-shot sniper in Warzone is the Katt-AMR right now, which has frustrated plenty of players who would like a bit of variety.

“Still don’t understand why we can’t get more one-shot snipers,” said one annoyed player. “I am sooooo disappointed in the XRK Stalker. Looking at its stats, it SHOULD be a 1-shot headshot. But it’s not,” another added.
“They should rotate it every season so next season we get a new one-shot sniper and then by the end of this map’s life-span we would have gone through all the snipers,” another player suggested.
Others also mooted the idea of copying Apex Legends by adding helmets as an armor option, which could give players a better way of judging if they’ll be able to hit a one-shot or not.
Ultimately, it’s a case of waiting and seeing what the devs do. They could easily buff another sniper and put it at a usable one-shot level and while it’s unclear if they’ll do that, it is what players are hungry for.
