Call of Duty: Warzone players have bemoaned the return of Storage Town as campers have ruined the experience and are making it challenging to get the new Death Prospector camo.
While plenty of hype around Warzone’s Season 4 update has been about the new map, Fortune’s Keep, Raven Software has also made sweeping changes to Caldera.
The Call of Duty: Warzone developers have removed vast amounts of water, cut vegetation down 50% so it’s a little easier to see, and also brought over the Storage Town POI from Verdansk.
Naturally, with such a popular drop spot being revived, plenty of players were pretty excited to go and check it out – and grab the new Death Prospector camo that is tied to the area. However, the overall experience has become a little bit of a nightmare thanks to campers.
The challenge for the new weapon camo tasks players with having to grab 100 kills while in the Storage Town area, but it’s proving difficult to get close to it, given that campers are sitting on rocks and scooping up easy kills.
“Dying and trying to respawn back to Storage Town is really bad. It’s literally one single spot no matter where you die,” bemoaned Redditor BIGG_FRIGG. “Literal torture trying to get the 100 kills in Storage Town because you can never get there,” added flippakitten.

Another player, UtmostRegret, sarcastically said the devs had achieved “quite the feat” with the Storage Town changes. “They’ve managed to take one of the most fun and fast-paced POIs of a great map in Verdansk, and turn it into the most tedious and frustrating POI on a poor map in Caldera.”
A few ideas have been bandied around for how the devs could fix things, including randomizing the respawn pattern so that the rocks aren’t in such a powerful position. Though, some have said they will simply not go anywhere near Storage Town once they’ve unlocked the camo.
It remains to be seen if the devs will, indeed, take the feedback on board make the changes players want, or if they’ll just continue to struggle with the camo challenge.
