Warzone players are demanding that one of the game’s most annoying features gets removed, perplexed as to why it was even added to the game in the first place.
With the Call of Duty battle royale being a live-service game that has been out for four years now, there has been a constant need for evolution and fresh content in the game, finding ways to keep things feeling new and enjoyable without getting boring.
Each season can mean new weapons, vehicles, or a new Gulag, for example, while long-term it could mean new maps and modes added in.
Some changes are loved, while others are revered, but there’s one that players are getting increasingly annoyed at: the Heavy Chopper.
Warzone players want Heavy Chopper removed
The Heavy Chopper hasn’t always been in Warzone, but has been added and removed here and there over the years, giving players a more heavily armored helicopter to traverse the map with and remain relatively safe.
However, players are now getting seriously annoyed, as opponents use them to simply stay alive and wreak havoc in the endgame, with little in the way of countering them.

“Why is the big heli a thing in Warzone?” asked a player asked on Reddit. “It is by far the worst vehicle implemented, takes more [than] a thousand bullets to shoot down, gets healed very easily in stations, nobody shoots it, enemy hitbox inside is so bugged then you can’t shoot even them but of course they can.”
Many of the replies were firmly in agreement with the original post, with one even suggesting that “the devs constantly put things in the game because they think it’s cool without any regard for gameplay balance and fun.”
As one player put it, while you can shoot at the chopper and hope other teams do the same, “nobody wants to give away their position and be vulnerable to an ambush while being distracted with it.”
Whether developers Raven Software have any plans to remove or nerf the Heavy Chopper remains to be seen, but many players will be hoping for changes come Season 2.
