It has been announced that ranked play will finally be coming back to Call of Duty battle royale hit Warzone alongside the returning Fortune’s Keep resurgence map in Season 2.
Ranked play was absent from Warzone for a long time, before it was finally added to the game in Al Mazrah.
Before long, though, the Modern Warfare 3 integration completely changed the game, including the removal of ranked play entirely as Urzikstan took over as the big map.
So, for around two months since the MW3 integration, there has been no ranked play — but that’s now set to change.
Warzone ranked coming
On February 1, it was announced alongside the Season 2 roadmap that ranked play would be coming to Warzone with Fortune’s Keep — which is making its grand return to the battle royale for the first time since November 2022.

The map itself will have some differences, with certain areas destroyed, added, or removed to freshen it up a little for its relaunch.
That will be the same for ranked, too. Certain weapons, attachments, and features will be removed or restricted, so as to make for a more competitive experience, though specifics haven’t yet been announced.
It’s unclear at the time of writing whether this ranked mode will spread to other maps in the future: in particular, most players will want to run a ranked mode on Urzikstan to start grinding up the ranks.
Ranked play will launch in Warzone with the Season 2 update on February 7.
