The 2023 World Series of Warzone Global Finals are fast approaching, with the 50 best trios across the globe locked in and ready to win their share of the $600k Finals prize pool.
The World Series of Warzone has been an annual event since it first launched in 2021, with hundreds of players across North America and Europe battling through qualifiers to take on the best in the main event.
In the past, we’ve seen duos and trios matches as well as the highly-anticipated SoloYolo $100k tournament, most notably won by retired CDL pro Seth ‘Scump’ Abner in 2021.
Now, the series is back, culminating in an international LAN final in London, England on September 16. Here’s all the information you need to follow the crowning tournament before Modern Warfare 3 changes Warzone completely.

The winner of the winner-takes-all SoloYOLO match was Skullface, who took out Spazs, Authorized, and Bbreadman in the final minute, holding the high ground to rain down fire on them before jumping at Bbreadman, who was using a Riot Shield for protection.
He secured himself a nice $100,000 on top of his share of the $80,000 for placing second in the trios tournament, making it a very successful day for him.

World Series of Warzone 2023 format & scoring
Global Finals format
20 NA Trios, 20 EU Trios, and teams from other nations will eventually compete in the Global Final in September for a $600,000 total prize, with $100,000 of that being for the winner-takes-all Solo YOLO tournament.
At the Global Finals, all 50 trios will drop in for six matches and be ranked according to this scoring system:
- 1 kill = 1 point
- 1st: 2x points
- 2nd-5th: 1.8x points
- 6-10th: 1.6x points
- 11-20th: 1.4x points
- 21st-35th: 1.2x points
- 36-50th: 1x points
Qualifiers format
Stage 1 was originally planned to start on April 28, bringing together the best Trios on Al Mazrah, each looking to take home the lion’s share of the $1.2 million prize pool. However, in-game issues led to delays across the board as custom lobbies struggles to function properly.
After a few weeks of extra development, WSOW got back on track. Teams first went through an in-game open. The top 50 trios in each region advanced to the WSOW Stage 1 Qualifiers and 25 moved on from there to the Regional Finals, along with 25 other teams invited by Activision.
The top 25 teams from the Stage 1 Regional Finals automatically qualified for the Regional Finals, while the bottom 25 went through the Stage 2 Qualifiers.
