Popular car YouTuber Archie Hamilton has explained why he’s decided to cancel his order of a 2020 Audi RS6, despite having already decided on a specs package and paid the deposit.
Like many car-focused YouTubers, Archie Hamilton has developed a collection of cars that will leave people looking on in both awe and envy. While he’s sold cars like the Range Rover SVR sport, he’s still got a few interesting daily drivers.
He was set to add a brand-new Audi RS6 to the growing collection. However, he’s had second thoughts about grabbing one right away, even after putting down a deposit to secure one.
In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, he gave an explanation on the situation. The Porsche racing driver sat with his friend Tony and ran through the pros and cons of getting one right away.
In the end, after taking Tony’s advice on board, Archie noted that it didn’t really make sense to get one off the bat – especially as his collection of cars has changed significantly in recent weeks.
“My car situation has got a little bit mad. I’m still getting an RS6, still going to come to my garage, I’m just going to let the second-hand market play out, see how it goes, and then I will go in and I will get one,” the YouTuber explained. “Just that my new car, with the (BMW) M8 coming, just bought the (Mercedes) A45, depreciation could be seriously scary.”

He continued on, though, noting that his plans have changed ever since putting the order in for the new Audi and that has also thrown a spanner into the works.
“This year really is a big year for me, the biggest year on my channel with the racing and stuff, and I feel that would just stress me out. It would just be another huge pressure in when we ordered that car, I wasn’t racing – it wasn’t even on my mind, it wasn’t even a thing – and now there’s so many other things happening.”
As for when fans can expect to possibly see the YouTuber cruising around in an RS6, Archie explained that he’ll judge the second-hand market in around four or five months time and try to find a spec similar to what he had configured.
Even though the channel will be lacking an RS6 for the foreseeable future, viewers should finally get to see a BMW M8 in the coming weeks.
