Car YouTuber TheStradman has hinted at selling his Tesla Model Y before it even arrives – explaining why Bill Gates’ Porsche Taycan Turbo S “blows it out of the water.”
The upcoming Tesla model is similar to the ever-popular Tesla Model 3, a compact-SUV vehicle that is seen as a more affordable option in comparison to the X and S models, and deliveries are expected to begin in the USA between March 15-30.
Despite the excitement surrounding the upcoming electric vehicle, TheStradman posted a video titled “Selling my Tesla Model Y before it arrives,” in which he drives the Taycan for the first time and is completely blown away.
Starting the video by testing out the new Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Stradman is clearly impressed with its insane acceleration, not to mention that it’s a beautiful car. Although, he says that since it starts at $185,000, he doesn’t “think there will be one in the garage any time soon.”
He then adds: “I love Tesla, don’t get me wrong, I have a Tesla Model Y on order, but Tesla fanboys… I hate to break it to you, Porsche has just blown everything out of the water.”
The Taycan boasts 750hp, speeds of 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds and a moonroof that Stradman is clearly a huge fan of – and it does look like an incredible ride.

Of course, Stradman isn’t the only one to take a liking to the Taycan – Bill Gates explained why he opted for Porsche’s masterpiece over a Tesla, citing the range on it to be more convincing than that of the Tesla.
This is something Tesla founder Elon Musk responded to, seemingly not impressed with Gates’ choice, adding that his conversations with Gates in the past have been “underwhelming.”
The price difference between the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and Tesla Model Y (starting price of $39,000) is staggering, which definitely helps to explain why Stradman and Gates believe the car to be so much better, so you have to give the cheaper option the benefit of the doubt in this comparison.
It’s possible that TheStradman isn’t actually selling his new Tesla before it even arrives, especially since he admits himself that the Taycan simply isn’t an affordable option right now.
However, don’t be surprised if you see him whipping the Porsche about in another video sooner or later, as you can clearly tell he’s desperate to get his hands on one.
