Demon Slayer cosplayer unleashes a fire storm as Kyojuro Rengoku

An incredibly skilled cosplayer shared his scorching take on Demon Slayer’s Kyojuro Rengoku, bringing the Fire Pillar to life with an insanely true-to-life costume that will leave enemies feeling the heat.

Demon Slayer was one of the most popular anime shows in 2019, as its dark story about a teenage boy’s quest to avenge his family after they are slayed by demons made it a breakout hit.

A talented cosplayer shared a mind-blowing take on series favorite Rengoku, and is sure to wow fans of the show with their transformation into the fire-wielding swordsman.

Cosplay brings Rengoku to life

In the show’s story, the Pillars are the strongest fighters in Demon Slayer corps, as each of these leaders possess a unique power such as Rengoku’s Breath of Flame ability.

Cosplayer John ‘moderatelyokaycosplay‘ shared their take on the popular character, transforming into the fire wielding slayer with an incredibly detailed outfit.

Teaming up with photographer Alexandra Brumley, the artist is perfectly captured as they pose as the anime hero, wielding his iconic sword dripping with flames as his cape trails behind him.

John shared more of the outfit on social media, where fans get a better view of how accurate the costume really is, especially recreating his yellow and red spiky hair, and thick eyebrows.

The talented artist even added the details of the sword’s hilt being in the shape of a flame, as well as the gorgeous fire colors on the inside of the flowing cape.

If that wasn’t enough, moderatelyokaycosplay also posted a video where they collaborated with filmmaker Sean Rustay who brilliant captured the character wielding his sword in action, using special effects to truly bring the Fire Pillar to life like never before.

Demon Slayer originally released as a manga in 2016, although it found worldwide success after its 2019 anime adaptation by Ufotable and became a breakout sensation.

While the first season has ended, fans early await the sequel film which is supposed to release in 2020. For those that haven’t seen it yet, you can watch the show in its entirety on Crunchyroll or Funimation.
