A talented fan turned the main protagonist from the hit Nickelodeon animation The Legend of Korra into a real-life work of art, showcasing the mind-blowing skills of the element-bending heroine from Avatar: The Last Airbender’s spin-off show.
The Legend of Korra aired on Nickelodeon in 2012, and was the spin-off sequel to the groundbreaking animation series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which ended in 2008.
Taking place 70 years after the journey of Aang, the story focuses on his successor Korra, as she tries to find her voice and purpose as the next Avatar, and a cosplayer became her with an incredibly realistic costume.
Cosplayer becomes Avatar Korra
While for most of the series Korra infamously has her hair up in ponytail (which is a Water-Tribe tradition), in Book 4 the element-bending protagonist cuts off all her locks, and adopts a bob style.
Perfectly nailing the look, ‘cosplayversace‘ transformed into the Avatar when she showed off her mind blowing true-to-life costume with the character’s fourth season look.
Not only does she look exactly how we imagine the character would be in a live action version, she faithfully recreated her outfit down to the arm bands and fur wrap around her waist.

She struck a pose showing off Korra’s bending stance, bringing to life the physical aspect of cosplay that is sometimes missing from others creations.
The cosplayer also managed to capture the character’s personality with her photograph, where she sits on the floor and leans on her hand looking frustrated – a signature pose from the show – which couldn’t be more perfect.
Versace is a fan of the Last Airbender universe as she’s previously shared her take on Avatar Aang, which was so good we wrote an article about it. The Seattle-based artist has gained 2.1k followers with her talented costumes.

Avatar fans are sure to be excited for 2020 as Netflix announced that they are bringing the beloved animation back to life with a live-action remake on its streaming service next year.
Nickelodeon is also re-releasing the entire original series on Blu-Ray in February in a limited steelbook collectors series, which is the perfect way to celebrate the show’s 15th anniversary.
