Cosplayer becomes Galar’s champion

Leon is the undefeated champion in Sword & Shield, and is looked up to as a hero by the citizens of the Galar region. He’s also the older brother of the protagonist’s rival Hop, as both of them dream of one day beating him.

Cosplayer Maguma Usagi showed off his jaw-dropping outfit of the character on his social media, as the talented artist dressed up as the beloved Pokemon trainer at this year’s MagFest, which was held in Washington County, MD.

Maguma is the closest we’ve seen to someone being a dead ringer for the Champion, looking exactly how we would imagine a live action version of the trainer to look like.

The skilled artist teamed up with photographer Arsenio Dev for another photoset that showed him in various poses from the game, as he captured Leon’s spirit by flicking his cape behind him as he readies up for battle.
