Opening cases on CS:GO can be an exciting moment as you wait to see which skin you get, but Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel is so addicted to them that he’s even opening them in the middle of rounds while his teammates are trying to win.
One of the many ways that players can get new skins for their weapons in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is by buying keys, and use them to open cases, which have a random camo inside for a specific weapon.
Players can spend hundreds of dollars in search of specific cosmetic items, and one such player is popular Twitch streamer xQc, whose addiction is starting to affect the very matches he’s playing in!
In just the second round of a matchmaking game on Overpass, xQc pushed past the toilet block located in the middle of the map, with a teammate offering to throw a flashbang at the ‘A’ bombsite so the former Overwatch pro could rush in while the enemy players were impaired.
“Yes, hold on, flash them, flash them,” xQc shouted as he immediately ran to a corner and opened up his inventory. His teammate called out that the grenade had been thrown, but the Canadian was too busy buying a case, rubbing his hands together with anticipation as his panicked squadmates wondered what was going on.

“Come on, come on!” yelled the Canadian with glee, while his teammates queried: “What’s going on?” Once the streamer saw he wasn’t going to get anything super rare, he clicked tabbed back into the game, pushing into the site and planting the bomb for a round win.
The 23-year-old isn’t the only streamer to have a fondness for opening cases, with fellow Twitch star Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek getting in on the act back in August.
Unlike xQc, shroud claimed he was opening it “for luck,” and it certainly appeared to give him some, racking up three kills in quick succession, before defusing the explosive for the round win.
