Destiny 2 Void 3.0 arrived to shake up the gravitational power of space magic even more than ever before in Bungie’s FPS universe. Here are the best Destiny 2 Void 3.0 builds, along with every Aspect and Fragment thrown in for good measure.
Destiny 2 has grown up a lot since launching in 2017, and while Beyond Light saw the addition of a fourth subclass, the upcoming Destiny 2: Lightfall DLC adds the new Strand subclass which will inevitably expand the gameplay repertoire even further.
The first to get the 3.0 treatment was Void, but that’s been followed by Solar and Arc in the seasons that followed – and also Stasis. If you’ve wanted to bend the cosmic power of the Void, there’s never been a better time to create deadly purple explosions.
Here are the best Destiny 2 Void 3.0 builds to assemble ahead of Destiny 2: Lightfall, including all the Aspects and Fragments available across the game’s Titan, Hunter, and Warlock classes, and the best builds for each one.

What is Void 3.0 in Destiny 2?
The Void element is essentially like harnessing the power of a black hole, particularly gravity. It’s focused on sapping strength from enemies, while also disintegrating them with volatile explosions. The best Destiny 2 Void 3.0 builds can help blow up dozens of enemies while staying invisible or almost invincible.
With Void 3.0 in full effect, the following buffs and debuffs can be applied to your character (descriptions courtesy of Bungie).
Buff/Debuff | Explanation |
Suppress | The target is taken out of any active ability when suppressed. While suppressed, the target cannot activate any abilities or movement modes. Combatants are disoriented. |
Weaken | The target takes increased damage, has slowed movement, and is disoriented. |
Volatile | The target will explode in a Void detonation upon taking additional damage. If the target dies before volatile has taken enough damage to detonate, the detonation happens anyway. |
Invisibility | The player vanishes from sight and does not appear on radar. |
Overshield | The player gains a protective barrier that immediately stacks on top of their existing health and shields and intercepts incoming damage. Overshield reduces the damage taken from PvE combatants. |
Devour | The player is immediately restored to full health upon activating devour from any source and is granted grenade energy. When the player gets any kill with devour active, they are restored to full health, granted grenade energy, and their devour buff timer is extended. |
If you’re new to Destiny, the other non-Void elements are:
All Void 3.0 Aspects and Fragments
Guardians can customize their Void subclass in multiple ways with the powers of Void 3.0, and that’s done through Aspects (class-specific) and Fragments (universal) options. Both of these ingredients are crucial to creating the ultimate Destiny 2 Void 3.0 builds.
Aspects
Class | Aspect name | Effect |
Hunter | Stylish Executioner | Defeating a Void-debuffed target (weakened, suppressed, or volatile) grants invisibility and Truesight. While invisible and after a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack weakens enemies. |
Hunter | Trapper’s Ambush | Player can activate Quickfall to spend their melee charge and dive to the ground, creating a smoke cloud upon impact. Enemies caught in the cloud are weakened and allies become invisible. In addition, Snare Bombs, upon attaching to surfaces or enemies, cause nearby allies to become invisible. |
Hunter | Vanishing Step | Dodging makes the Hunter invisible. |
Titan | Bastion | Casting Barricade generates Overshield for yourself and nearby allies. Those bunkering behind the shield will regenerate Overshield over time and extend the Overshield’s duration. |
Titan | Controlled Demolition | Hitting a target with a Void ability or volatile detonation will make them volatile. |
Titan | Offensive Bulwark | While you have Overshield or are inside the Ward of Dawn, grenades charge significantly faster and you have increased melee damage. You also gain an additional shield throw for your Sentinel Shield Super. |
Warlock | Chaos Accelerant | Hold down the grenade button to overcharge your Vortex, Axion Bolt, Scatter, and Magnetic grenades. Magnetic grenades overcharge into Handheld Supernova. |
Warlock | Child of the Old Gods | Cast your Rift to summon a Void Soul. When you damage an enemy with your weapon, your Void Soul will launch itself towards them and detonate nearby, attaching draining tendrils that deal damage and weaken the target. When your Void Soul deals damage, it restores either melee and grenade energy (if running Healing Rift), or health (if running Empowering Rift) back to you. Defeating an enemy who is being drained grants Rift energy. |
Warlock | Feed the Void | Defeat an enemy with a Void ability to activate devour. |
Fragments
Fragment name | Effect | Stat change |
Echo of Dilation | While crouched, sneak faster and gain enhanced radar resolution; Mobility, and Intellect bonus. | +10 Mobility and Intellect |
Echo of Domineering | After suppressing a target, gain greatly increased Mobility for a short duration and your equipped weapon is reloaded from reserves; Discipline bonus. | +10 Discipline |
Echo of Exchange | Melee final blows grant grenade energy. | None |
Echo of Expulsion | Void ability kills cause enemies to explode; Intellect bonus. | +10 Intellect |
Echo of Harvest | Defeating weakened targets with precision final blows will create an Orb of Power; Intellect penalty. | -10 Intellect |
Echo of Instability | Defeating targets with grenades grants Volatile Rounds to your Void weapons; Strength bonus. | +10 Strength |
Echo of Leeching | Melee final blows start health regeneration for you and nearby allies; Resilience bonus. | +10 Resilience |
Echo of Obscurity | Finisher final blows grant Invisibility, Recovery bonus. | +10 Recovery |
Echo of Provision | Damaging enemies with grenades grants melee energy; Strength penalty. | -10 Strength |
Echo of Remnants | Lingering grenade effects have increased duration. | None |
Echo of Reprisal | Final blows while surrounded by combatants grant Super energy. | None |
Echo of Resistance | Void buffs applied have increased duration; Mobility penalty. | -10 Mobility |
Echo of Starvation | Picking up an Orb of Power grants Devour; Recovery penalty. | -10 Recovery |
Echo of Undermining | Void grenades weaken enemies; Discipline penalty. | -20 Discipline |

Destiny 2 Void 3.0 Hunter build
The power of this Destiny 2 Void 3.0 build comes from its ability to sneak away from enemies thanks to its invisibility. Dodging to go invisible can give a huge boost against both human and AI opponents in PvP and PvE content respectively, although we’d opt for the Shadowshot: Deadfall Super for the former since it allows users to knock opponents out of their Super.
Run this with Graviton Forfeit, to increase the duration of your invisibility and essentially give you both reloading and invisibility with your dodge roll.
- Aspects: Stylish Executioner, Vanishing Step
- Melee: Snare Bomb
- Grenade: Vortex Grenade
- Fragments: Dilation, Leeching, Persistence, Undermining
- Mods: Focusing Strike, Utility Kickstart
Titan
Destiny 2 Void 3.0 Titan build
Void Titans with the 3.0 update can essentially become unkillable in many ways. There are plenty of ways to trigger an Overshield, and this build is ideal for PvE content or PvP matches thanks to its combination of explosions and defensive abilities.
Use Rally Barricade for the former, and Towering Barricade for the latter, and be prepared to throw your shield a lot.
- Aspects: Bastion, Offensive Bulwark
- Melee: Shield Throw
- Grenade: Vortex Grenade
- Fragments: Persistence, Starvation, Undermining
- Mods: Harmonic Siphon, Utility Kickstart
Warlock
Destiny 2 Void 3.0 Warlock build
Void Warlocks can regularly proc Devour, meaning they can siphon enemy health while destroying dozens of minions of the Darkness at once.
Pair this Destiny 2 Void 3.0 build with Nezarec’s Sin to keep the abilities coming and ensure constant grenades, rifts, and Nova Bombs.
- Aspects: Child of the Old Gods, Feed the Void
- Melee: Pocket Singularity
- Grenade: Vortex Grenade
- Fragments: Instability, Persistence, Remnants, Undermining
- Mods: Ashes to Assets, Bomber
