Microsoft have announced that Xbox & PC will be getting Diablo 4 on Game Pass, with it being the first of what could be many games from Activision Blizzard coming to the service.
Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard marked for one of the biggest video game-related acquisitions of all time, and the massive, almost 70 billion dollar deal has come with some growing pains.
Between Microsoft laying off around 1900 employees and the deal for the acquisition itself getting held up in the UK for a while, the road to getting Activision Blizzard’s blockbuster titles on Game Pass hasn’t been a smooth one.
However, Diablo 4 is finally coming to both Xbox and PC Game Pass now that the game’s been out for a while. And, if this trend continues, other big hitters like Call of Duty may follow.
Diablo 4 finally arrives on PC and Xbox Game Pass
Despite the game getting some flak from the community for its end game and Seasonal content as of late, the game itself has been a smash hit. It sold millions of copies at release, and many of those who bought the game thoroughly enjoyed its campaign and gameplay as they made their way through the main story.
And, now that the game has some more content under its belt, Xbox have decided to make it available on Game Pass for both PC and Xbox. For those who haven’t hopped into the game yet, this is the perfect opportunity.

Xbox had this to say about the move in their official statement: “There will be even more to play as we begin to fulfill our commitment to offer Activision and Blizzard games with Game Pass, both new releases and classic games from its legendary catalog.
“We’re happy to share that Diablo IV will be available to play by the 34 million Game Pass subscribers on both PC and Xbox consoles beginning March 28! This is only the start of Xbox players being able to enjoy Activision and Blizzard games on Game Pass – we look forward to sharing more soon.”
This game is just the first of many that’ll be coming to Game Pass from Activision Blizzard’s library, but that raises the question of which ones will be coming first. Activision has a massive catalog of titles they’ve published in past years, but it remains to be seen if big releases like the yearly Call of Duty games make it to the service.
Diablo 4 will be arriving on Game Pass on March 28, 2024. Those who want to give it a shot won’t have to wait long.
