Although Diablo 4 can be enjoyed entirely in single-player, it also has a large multiplayer component, letting players experience everything alongside friends.

According to Active Player, Diablo 4 has averaged 3,423,495 players in the last 30 days.
This is a slight dip from the 3,849,762 it received throughout October but overall the ARPG has retained between 5 million and 3 million players steadily since January 2024. We’ve provided a more in-depth look at the game’s 2024 player count from January – November in the graph below:
Sadly, Blizzard doesn’t publicize the exact number of players across all versions of Diablo 4, so we have to rely on a third-party tracker to get an approximate estimate of its current player count.

Player count compared to other ARPGs
While Diablo 4 is the latest installment in the beloved franchise, past entries are still popular. Diablo 3 may not be reaching quite the same heights as 4 but it’s still got a solid player base over a decade since launch.
Mobile game Diablo Immortal also has plenty of players logging in daily to get their fix on the go. Other ARPGs like Last Epoch and Path of Exile have been souring ahead in terms of player count, however.
