In the nascent days of Elden Ring’s release, a legend was born. A scantily clad student of the blade called ‘Let Me Solo Her’ who did just that. Now as the Shadow of the Erdtree looms, a new chapter is ready to be written.
It’s not very common for a player of a game to become just as memorable as a character within it but if anyone has, it’s Elden Ring legend Let Me Solo Her. This jar-headed Tarnished rose to prominence by charitably annihilating the game’s penultimate challenge, Malenia Blade of Miquella.
Struggling Elden Ring players the world over have been blessed by the benevolence of Let Me Solo Her who has even given their own guidance on how to take down the game’s hardest boss. Their legend became so widely known that FromSoftware gifted them an actual sword for their contribution to the game’s community.
To this day, they can still be found waiting outside Malenia’s boss room ready to lend their aid. According to an Interview with IGN however, that may all be about to change. Let Me Solo Her claims to have ‘had their fill’ of the goddess of rot and has their sights set on new challenges in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
Let Me Solo the Elden Ring DLC
Speaking to IGN, Let Me Solo Her revealed that they had spent roughly 1,200 hours in Elden Ring fighting Malenia and had “probably defeated her about 6,000-7,000 times by now”. Their excitement for the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC might finally be enough to pry them away from their quest though.
“Soulslike games have a history of their DLCs being the best part of the game, and I trust that Mr. Miyazaki will give us another masterpiece to enjoy,” they explained. Of particular interest to Let Me Solo Her was the intriguing new antagonist for the Elden Ring DLC, Messmer the Impaler.

“The new boss is especially exciting as he might be a lost sibling to Malenia and equal in terms of difficulty,” they elaborated. Whether we’ll see Let Me Solo Her on the front lines helping players with Messmer remains to be seen.
“I welcome the challenge and hope newer fans of the genre will also enjoy the difficulty as well,” they said. “I’m not too sure if I will solo the newest boss yet. I will have to see what the boss will be like.”
If they do decide to once again bestow their help on battle-weary Tarnished in the DLC, they may have to change their name to Let Me Solo Him.
Of course, there’s no telling if Messmer will be the Elden Ring DLC’s hardest challenge as Miyazaki himself has confirmed that there will be optional bosses of similar strength to Malenia.
