When Twitch streamers head into the unscripted real world, or it comes to them, there’s no telling exactly what can happen.
10. Police get called after streamer argues with girlfriend
Popular Old School Runescape streamer ‘afriendrs’ was streaming with his girlfriend when the two got into an argument about their relationship.
After both accusing each other of cheating throughout the stream, things got so heated that by the end, the police had apparently arrived at A Friend’s home.
“Boys, she called the police, just saying,” the streamer told viewers. “And the police is right here, yup, police just got called.”
9. Streamer admits to cheating on girlfriend during uncomfortable broadcast
Japanese IRL streamer Hyubsama, for some reason, decided to admit to his girlfriend, ‘Starbitzychan’ that he had cheated on her live, on-stream.
Starbitzy, obviously upset, attempts to leave multiple times while Hyubsama begs her to stay, and eventually things even spill into the building’s lobby.
Viewers who were disturbed by the streamer’s manipulative behavior and urged his girlfriend to get away from him during the incredibly awkward broadcast.
Exactly why Hyubsama kept rolling during what probably should have been a private conversation between him and Starbitzy is unknown, but several those who accused him of milking the situation for views called it “disgusting”.
8. Ice_Poseidon gets swatted on a plane
Twitch streamer Paul ‘Ice_Poseidon’ Denino was escorted off of a fight in April of 2017 after a fan called in a bomb threat to authorities while impersonating the streamer.
Ice had already been ‘swatted’ twice, which is when a viewer calls the police to a streamer’s home with an urgent threat, so the cops will have no choice but to respond to what they think is a dangerous situation.
It’s a terrible idea, and since Ice’s incident on the plane in 2017, people have actually died as a result of swatting.
After being led off the flight, the streamer was let go once police figured out what was actually going on. He said later that being swatted on a plane was totally unexpected and on “a whole other level.”
7. Andy Milonakis gets threatened to be robbed
The Andy Milonakis Show ended in 2007, but that doesn’t mean Milonakis has gone away. In fact, he’s become one of the most popular Twitch streamers around.
Milonakis likes to take viewers on IRL streams, where he’s often recognized on the street for being that one guy from that funny MTV show a decade ago, but things have gotten a little intense too.
During an IRL stream adventure, Milonakis was hanging out in front of a local liquor store with some friends when a man approached the group and insulted the streamer, before threatening to rob him.
“You fell off like a bad bag of dope, I’m just saying,” the guy told Milonakis and his crew. “You got money right? You want me to rob you?”
Nothing came of the threat, and just how serious the dude actually was is debatable, but still, no one wants to be threatened with robbery right of the blue.
6. Dr. DisRespect admits to infidelity live on stream
Herschel “Guy” Beahm is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, but most probably know him from his character, Dr. DisRespect.
Towards the end of 2017 however, The Doc broke character to tell viewers he had been unfaithful to his wife and would be taking some time off from streaming.
“Stupid fucking mistakes man,” a clearly emotional Beahm said. “I’m going to take some time off to focus on my family. This is not who I am.”
Since then, he and his family seem to have worked to put the incident behind them, and The Doc is once again bringing the violence, speed, and momentum to Twitch.

5. Tyler1 confronts intruder during stream
A person’s home is supposed to be their castle, so when Tyler ‘Tyler1’ Steinkamp thought someone was snooping around his property during a stream, he went into full home defense mode.
During a stream with Dimitri ‘GreekGodx’ Antonatos in February of 2018, Tyler1’s girlfriend informed him that she thought someone was snooping around outside.
After calmly telling GreekGodx he would be right back, Tyler got up from his chair to try and confront the intruder.
“Hey! Who the fuck is here!?” Tyler raged. “Come out pussy! I’ll kill you!”
Tyler would eventually return to the stream, unsuccessful in his hunt for the intruder his girlfriend saw but was confident they wouldn’t be back.
4. Streamer crashes car while drunk driving
Drunk driving is never a good idea, and broadcasting your drunk driving to thousands of people on Twitch is an even worse idea.
This didn’t stop streamer TRON1717 from hopping behind the wheel after apparently having a few too many, and taking his Twitch chat along for the ride.
Viewers in chat implored him to reconsider, and some even threatened to call 911 before he could do any real damage to himself or others.
After making it a little way down the road, TRON1717 lost control and crashed his car into something, exactly what wasn’t clear, but it sounded like a pretty serious collision.
Luckily, no one was reported hurt from the incident, and the only things that were damaged were TRON’s car, and most likely his self-esteem as well.
3. DrLupo urges viewer to seek help after distressing donation
Popular Fortnite streamer Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo did what he said “anyone would do” after he got a donation from a suicidal fan in chat.
“Ending it all so I figured I’d give my favorite streamer my last 10 so I hope it all goes well in the future,” Lupo said, reading the fan’s very disturbing donation. “Please don’t do that, please find somebody, reach out to somebody right now and talk to them.”
Lupo directed the fan to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline and told them that he expected to see them in his channel first thing in the morning for the next day’s stream; come morning, the fan was back.
“I saw your email, I read it this morning, the first thing I did when I woke up was read your email, I am very happy to see you in chat, and here,” Lupo told the fan. “I’ve been in dark places too man, I’m really happy that you’re here. I just want you to know that you’re not alone.”
2. Someone shoots at Dr. DisRespect’s house during stream
Having someone snooping around your property is scary in its own right, but having someone shoot at your home is a whole other level of crazy.
During a stream in September of 2018, The Doc cut things short after telling viewers his house had just been shot at for the second day in a row.
“I’ve got to end the broadcast, someone shot at our house, broke the fucking upstairs window” Doc told viewers. “Someone shot yesterday at our fucking house and someone shot again right now and connected with the house upstairs.”
A day after the incident, the steamer reassured fans that he and his family were alright and that the case was being handled by authorities.
1. Korean streamer Hikikko assaulted in public during IRL stream
During an IRL stream in December of 2018, Twitch streamer Hikikko (힛키코) was walking down the street with a friend when an unknown assailant grabbed her as he walked by.
At first, Hikikko was shocked by what just happened, but her surprise soon turned to anger as she attempted to catch and confront the man who had just assaulted her.
“Hey! Hey you fucking lunatic!” she yelled, according to a translation from a Korean speaker on Reddit. “Hey, you over there! Come back!”
The assailant was able to flee, and unfortunately, it’s unlikely they were ever caught for their disgusting act since they weren’t identifiable from the footage itself.
