Popular YouTuber Tana Mongeau is no stranger to controversy, after her hyped up ‘TanaCon’ event in 2018 ended in disaster – but this time, Tana is coming under fire for a different reason, entirely, and this time, it’s from her own ex-girlfriend.
“Shake it Up” actress and singer Bella Thorne made a guest appearance on Logan Paul’s ‘imPaulsive’ podcast on July 10, where she discussed her rough adolescence and Disney stardom – as well as Jake Paul’s current fiance, Tana Mongeau.
However, this time the panel didn’t touch on Tana’s upcoming wedding: rather, Thorne threw some not-so-subtle shade toward her ex, who was sitting in the audience at the time of recording.

Thorne was on the subject of editing one’s photos when Tana came up in the conversation, leading to a biting insult against her ex-girlfriend.
“…with Instagram, they should really snap down – sorry Tana, on FaceTune – and Photoshop,” Thorne said.
Despite Thorne’s harsh comment, Tana took the roast in stride, giving a good-natured laugh while she lougned on a beanbag chair as Maverick member Mike Majlack shouted, “Not like this! Not like this!”

This wouldn’t be the first time Mongeau has come under fire for editing her pictures, either: a series of photos surfaced in late January showing Tana posing on a beach with friends – photos that were later speculated to be heavily Photoshopped, according to alleged “candids” taken of the YouTuber from different angles.

Thorne’s lighthearted jab toward Tana may have also been the result of her engagement to Jake Paul, following her breakup with Thorne as well as her ex-boyfriend, Justin Beiber lookalike Brad Sousa, earlier in the year.
Thorne herself posted a red-eyed selfie to Instagram following Tana’s surprise engagement, writing, “When your ex gets engaged” – complete with a series of sobbing emojis.
While fans are doubtful that Mongeau’s engagement is real, many YouTubers across the space are also in the dark as to the legitimacy of her upcoming union, with personalities like David Dobrik and even Logan Paul worried that the “engagement” could be just a massive prank for Tana’s MTV show.
