Popular Twitch streamer Steven ‘Destiny’ Bonnell gave a humorous explanation as to Kanye West’s recent social media deletion during a Minecraft stream.
The streamer cited his previous debate with the now-convicted felon Martin Shkreli, and joked that Kanye West had reached out to him following their discussion.
Destiny then said that he attempted to use Kanye’s fame to get his Twitter account unbanned, but noted that Kanye’s efforts were ultimately unsuccessful.
“When I did the debate with Martin Shkreli, Kanye West saw that and then he reached out to me via email,” he said in a totally serious tone. “I asked him if he could get my Twitter unbanned and he said that he reached out… and contacted some of the Twitter staff to get me unbanned, but apparently they didn’t know the answers. I didn’t really understand that.”

However, Destiny and Kanye appear to have a close relationship in this fictional universe, as Destiny said that Kanye had deleted his social media in solidarity with the streamer’s Twitter ban.
“Then he said that, until I got unbanned, he would delete his Twitter out of solidarity for mine,” he joked. “I thought that was kinda cool.”
Kanye West – who now wishes to be known as Ye – deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts after receiving criticism for stating that the United States Constitution’s 13th Amendment, which outlawed slavery, should be abolished.
His controversial performance on SNL also garnered him ample disapproval. This isn’t the first time Ye has deleted his accounts, though, so the rapper could very well make a return after the heat has died down.
