To rewatch some of your favorite moments from a Twitch stream, you can now clip a section from it, that allows you to download the clips which you can share on other platforms.
Many Twitch streamers on the platform are known to stay live for hours on end, which can make it hard for viewers to rewatch those bizarre or unexpected moments just by scrolling through the VOD after the stream.
The site’s clip feature finds a solution to this issue by allowing viewers to take short snippets from someone’s stream, which are then accessible via a separate URL. From creating clips on Twitch, to where to find your saved ones and even how to download them, we’ve got everything you need to know right here.

How to clip a stream on Twitch
Creating a clip on Twitch is an incredibly easy process, only taking a short few steps to both clip and download your favorite moments.
While many users download these clips in order to share them to popular sites and forums, they also serve as handy ways for creators to highlight moments from their own streams on social media. Follow these steps to create your own Twitch clip:
- Hover over the video you’re currently watching and click the Clapperboard button at the bottom right corner.
- Once the new clip creation screen has launched, use the slider to adjust which section of the video you want to clip. You can select up to 1 minute.
- Title your clip and click ‘Publish‘.
That’s it – you’ve now successfully created your first Twitch clip.
