Team 10 founder turned boxing champion Jake Paul and YouTube star Tana Mongeau broke the internet when they announced their whirlwind “marriage” was over – but apparently, it was a huge moneymaker.
Tana and Jake started dating in April 2019, and were later married in a lavish Las Vegas ceremony just a few weeks after he proposed to her on her 21st birthday – though the union was never legally documented.
On January 2, the pair announced their amicable breakup with two separate Instagram posts, stating that they “both are taking a break to focus on our own very crazy lives.” Now, according to a report, the relationship split is estimated to have generated over a whopping $600 million.

Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau’s split
On February 10, news outlet Insider published a report talking about how the duo’s careers benefited as a result of the breakup in terms of media value. They asked influencer branding experts Marie Mostad and Stacy Jones about just how much the separation made.
According to Jones, the situation reached an audience of over 7.7 billion, meaning that over $605 million was generated in media value alone, whether that’s through online, TV, or radio.
The MTV starlet’s YouTube following grew by 33% from 3.9 million in April 2019 to 5.2 million in February 2020, thanks to the high-profile stint with Paul – something he also increased by 7.5% to 19.7 million.

“The media coverage provided certainly helped Tana Mongeau become a more familiar name than it did Jake Paul as his name is already incredibly saturated in the marketplace due to his years of content production,” Jones said.
Their breakup has gone on to give both of the YouTubers a boost, with the 21-year-old releasing her own $48 perfume, TANA by Tana, which completely sold out in just over an hour after its reveal on January 25.
On the other hand, the Team 10 founder has seen success with his boxing, and just recently defeated fellow content creator AnEsonGib with a first round total knockout in Miami on January 30. He now has his sights set on KSI to avenge his brother Logan after the British personality won through split decision on November 9.
Jake doesn’t seem to be to affected by the pair’s split, though, as he teased a new “off camera” relationship on the January 23 episode of Mike Majlak’s “The Night Shift.”

It was later revealed that he was dating social media star Julia Rose after he uploaded a selfie to Instagram captioned “bro so what” in which he was cuddled up with her. Tana’s response to this was a simple tweet that read “I just hope you’re happy.”
