Social media star Jake Paul put YouTuber Deji Olatunji on blast during an interview with TMZ Sports on December 9 – claiming that his former boxing opponent is now “beneath him.”
Jake Paul fought Deji during the KSI vs Logan Paul card on August 25, 2018. With the rematch set for 2019, Jake Paul has set his sights on FaZe Banks as his next opponent in the ring – and has denied any chance of facing off against Deji again.
While Paul addressed the issue in a series of Tweets toward Deji on December 5, he went even further during an interview with TMZ on the ninth, explaining that fighting the YouTuber wouldn’t be “worth his time.”
“He wouldn’t last,” Paul confirmed. “He didn’t make it the full six rounds, and I feel like it’s just not exciting anymore. …I wanna fight someone at an elevated level.”

The interviewer went on to ask if he felt that facing off against Deji was “beneath him,” to which Paul replied with a decisive “yes.”
Paul had previously called out FaZe content creator Ricky Banks in a vlog on December 8, asking him to throw down in a boxing match preceding the KSI vs Logan Paul rematch. In fact, Paul is only giving Banks three months to prepare – leading to what some deem to be an unfair matchup, with Paul having the ultimate advantage.
Paul has likewise called out MMA fighter Dillon Danis and American singer-songwriter Chris Brown – although the possibility of these matches remain up in the air.
