Since starting the carnivore diet at the beginning of the year, Joe Rogan has been providing fans with some surprising updates on his new lifestyle change.
In his recent JRE episode with fellow comedian Tom Papa, the popular podcast star revealed some of the major benefits that he noticed after finishing a month on the new diet.
When the pair started to discuss some of the celebrities who are using their influence to inspire fans to become healthier, Joe Rogan revealed some of the benefits he noticed while only eating meat.
He explained that after his first month was over he allowed himself a cheat day, however, he quickly picked up on some of the benefits after reverting back to his former diet for a short while.
“What’s interesting was the pains, back pains and knee pains,” Rogan revealed, claiming that the carnivore diet had helped with the pains. “It’s inflammation, your body does not want to have to process all of that stuff.”

“If you get all of that out of your system and your body doesn’t experience inflammation from your food,” he expressed, pointing out sugars and carbohydrates as some of the main causes.
“When you have no carbohydrates one of the things that’s most amazing is there is no crashing, the UFC commentator later shared, “there’s no ups and downs or peaks and valleys, my energy levels were amazing.”
Rogan also revealed that he had lost a significant amount of weight since starting the diet, “I was shedding a lot of weight, I think I was like 7lbs down two weeks in, now I’m 12 pounds down, I feel a lot better.”
However, despite his incredible results, he has also claimed that the carnivore diet came with one unfortunate side effect when he initially started on January 1.
The podcast host shared that the massive shift in diet had resulted in him having diarrhea during the early stages of the month, although he explained that it quickly went away within the first two weeks.
