Popular Fortnite players Alastair ‘Ali-A’ Aiken and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan made waves after entering Lachlan’s $10,000 fashion show and actually qualifying to the final round.
Fashion Shows became somewhat of a thing in Fortnite towards the tail end of 2019, with content creators letting viewers come in their favorite skins and whittling out the best until they eventually find a winner.
Lachlan, though, took it a step further and made it a real competition for some serious money – and even some of the biggest names in Fortnite wanted in. It was a duos event with full qualifiers, judged by the Aussie himself, so entrants had to be in peak fashion shape before heading into the game.
At the start of Ali-A’s YouTube upload going through the process of setting up for such an event, he and Sypher spend a long time figuring out the best skins to wear, how best to combine their assets including their back bling and pickaxe choices.
They also came up with an entire emote routine, complete with a full magical narrative behind it, in an attempt to best impress Lachlan when the moment came.
Heading into the qualifying round, Ali-A secured the first spot in the queue, almost an easy pass through to the next, before reaching the final round and performing their full routine – and Lachlan loved it.

As they were finishing out their final moves, Lachlan went and killed every other contestant, clearly impressed with what he’d seen by the creative duo, letting them know they had qualified to the next round.
Finally, he killed the remaining two, who were celebrating like they had just won the Fortnite World Cup, and it dawned on the Aussie that he had just let two of the biggest Fortnite content creators snatch a win from right under his nose.
Obviously, in jest, he threw his headset down and puts his head in his hands, struggling to believe that Ali and Sypher had been the witches with such a perfectly coordinated routine.
Lachlan’s $10k Fortnite fashion show still has some teams left to qualify for the final event, but Ali and Sypher will be one team with their eyes on the cash at the end of the campaign.
With the end of Chapter 2, Season 1 expected a little later than before, we may see content creators having to find even more new ways to create engaging videos in the weeks leading up to Season 2.
