Rap superstar Lil Yachty was a surprise attendee at E3 this year, invited out to take part in the Fortnite Pro-Am tournament he spent some time around the convention – and even did a live show on the spot.
Yachty, real name Miles McCollum, broke out in 2015 with a number of hit singles from his debut EP and has since risen the ranks to become one of worlds hottest hip-hop artists.
But it turns out that he is also an avid gamer, and even began live streaming games like Call of Duty and Fortnite on Twitch a few months ago.
Around the same time, he also reached out to esports organization FaZe Clan asking if he could join, and FaZe of course obliged.
Yachty has since been spotted rocking full FaZe apparel as he sits front row at NBA games alongside other rap stars Quavo and Offset from group Migos (who coincidentally also attended E3 this year).
So when Fortnite decided to put on a huge ‘Pro-Am Celebrity’ tournament at this year’s E3 convention, Yachty was likely one of the first names on their list to take part.

And he did, pairing up with popular streamer timthetatman, the pair might not have won at the event, but Yachty was certainly one of the biggest names in attendance.
After the event, it looks like Yachty made the most of his time out at the convention, and even stopped by the SUBNATION booth to put on a live show for a small but very lucky crowd.
The one off moment was caught on the Twitch stream of lilypichu, an IRL streamer and YouTuber who has almost 500,000 followers on the platform.
Yachty, who also goes by ‘Lil Boat’ was not the only rap star out at the event either, as Ty Dolla $ign, Desiigner, PartyNextDoor, Murda Beatz, Witt Lowry, Vince Staples and the aforementioned Migos all made an appearance too.
