Veteran Twitch streamer Saqib ‘LIRIK‘ Zahid encountered one of Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek’s infamous stream snipers while playing PUBG, and mocked the braggadocios player.
Fellow streamer shroud is frequently the target of pesky ‘stream snipers’ – individuals who attempt to get in the same match as a popular streamer, usually in an attempt to kill them, with the help of knowing their every move.
LIRIK too, as one of the top 20 streamers on the platform, runs into his fair share of these nuisance players, so when his teammate in PUBG began to brag about how many times he had killed shroud, LIRIK was less than impressed.
“So what are you, a professional stream sniper?” LIRIK asked, after the teammate had boasted about taking out shroud in PUBG on multiple occasions, claiming it meant he was “really good” at the game.
The player denied this, saying he just “get in (shroud’s) games dude”, but LIRIK wasn’t buying it, and tore into the stream sniper, mocking how easy it is to kill a player while watching them stream.
“Takes a lot of skill, looking at his monitor, knowing exactly where he is as soon as he starts shooting and loading his clip, that’s when you fucking push up am I right?” LIRIK mocked, “As soon as he’s at like 10 HP, here comes fucking ‘jalapeno’, shoots once, kills shroud, sleeps at night in his little shit bed – am I right?”

The stream sniper, at first speechless, could only muster an “ouch” in response to LIRIK’s tirade.
Shroud himself has come to endure the annoying players, even befriending some of them and playing with them on stream.
Twitch itself takes a hard stance on stream snipers and will ban anyone on their platform found guilty, and most game developers do the same, with PUBG itself having strict rules in place.
But, with the sheer number of them, and the popularity of these big streamers, it’s hard, if not impossible, to eradicate the problem entirely, but at least LIRIK can let them know how he really feels.
