Twitch star Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid was frustrated and annoyed after spending a few minutes figuring out how to open a door in Half-Life: Alyx.

The VR player was able to take out a bunch of enemies in a room with an explosive, but inadvertently caused one of his foes to get stuck against a wall – or so he thought.

After grabbing hold of the lifeless corpse, the streamer had difficulty moving the body as it rested against the door he had to get through to advance.

“Dude?” he sighed at the non-playable character. “Holy sh*t, he’s stuck. Dude? Dude?”

First, LIRIK tried grabbing hold of the arms but had no luck. Then he tried the legs, but still, he couldn’t move the literal dead weight.

Eventually, he grabbed the door handle causing it to become ajar with a tiny bit of room. “I think I can fit through,” he said.

LIRIK’s chat wasn’t any help.

However, try as he might, the streamer still found himself stuck inside the lifeless apartment and the frustration began settling in: “What the f**k?! Move!”

With his options seemingly exhausted, Zahid resorted to checking his chat for any solutions but didn’t like what he saw.

“Teleport? Try jumping?” he read, baffled by his viewers’ ideas, before having a bit of an epiphany. “Chat, this is how you do it!”

The streamer then confidently tried to use another explosive to blast the corpse away, assuming there was no way it couldn’t work. However, while the door becamse slightly more ajar than before, he still couldn’t get through.

In fact, now the door was even harder to open than before: “That actually made it worse! What the f**k? Dude! Get the f**k out.”

Once again, he grabbed hold of the body, desperately trying to get it away from the door, but it was no use.

Just when it seemed like he was about to give up, LIRIK tried the door handle again and realized he had been opening it the wrong way the whole time.

“Does it open the other way?” he paused. “It opens the other way, okay.”

Embarrassed, the streamer was finally able to leave the room and let out a deep sigh: “I swear, I don’t know; chat, it opens the other way.”

While LIRIK’s experience with Half-Life: Alyx was a bit confusing, to say the least, pretty much everyone’s been enjoying it, with the game getting glowing reviews and currently featuring a score of 92% on Metacritic.
