Logan Paul has surprised the online entertainment community yet again after announcing that he will be releasing a documentary about his suicide forest scandal.
Paul, 23, made the announcement during a monthly update vlog on his YouTube channel that boasts over 17 million subscribers.
Paul experienced massive backlash back in January after he decided to film a hanging body in Aokigahara forest, often referred to as the suicide forest, in the Chūbu region of Honshu in Japan.
The controversial vlogger made a handful of attempts to apologize and show remorse but many believed that they were not genuine enough.
The documentary about the scandal, which does not have a title or release date yet, will focus on Paul’s state of mind at the time of the video, and after it, with the entertainer saying it will focus on:
“all the stuff that went down in January, where I was at in my life and kind of the psyche of what actually happened,”
The announcement about the documentary appears in a video titled “WHY I HAVEN’T BEEN POSTING” which can be found below. The announcement comes at the 05:38 mark.

Paul was known for creating daily vlogs that were highly edited and would generally last 10-15 minutes. It is expected that one of the main focuses of the documentary will be the burnout and pressure that this can put on entertainers.
Paul has taken a step back from the daily content in recent months after announcing that he wanted to explore his creativity in a less taxing way.
