It’s official, after weeks of rumors Logan Paul is now set for his first proper WWE match at Wrestlemania 38 and his debut is against none other than wrestling legend Rey Mysterio.
It’s been almost a year since Logan Paul debuted on Friday Night Smackdown. Since then, he’s made appearances at WrestleMania 37, SummerSlam, Monday Night Raw, and Smackdown again.
In that time, he’s done everything from getting floored by Kevin Owens to roasting Baron Corbin and more. While not every showing had the crowd on his side, these brief engagements have been enough to set the internet celeb up for a major storyline heading into the biggest show of the year.
Paul is now confirmed for his first official match at WrestleMania 38 on April 2-3 and it isn’t just any match. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is set to throw down with future hall of famer Rey Mysterio in a heated tag-team matchup.
This feud was first teased in a backstage promo at Elimination Chamber on February 19. At the time, The Miz implied he has a surprise tag-team partner in mind for a match against Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson soon followed up with a report on who this mysterious partner could be. “The word backstage” suggested Paul was booked in for the tag-team showcase.

Just days later and the match was made official on the February 21 episode of WWE Raw. Paul entered the ring alongside The Miz where they soon traded blows with the Mysterio family.
“Damn, we just f***ed up the Mysterio’s,” he tweeted moments after the beatdown. Now referred to as “the most despicable tag-team,” Paul and The Miz are set to continue this rivalry through to its culmination at Wrestlemania 38.

No stranger to working celebrity matchups at Mania, just last year The Miz found himself in the squared circle against music icon Bad Bunny.
He’ll be looking to guide his newfound partner in Paul to a huge win when the bell rings at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on April 3
