Controversial YouTuber Logan Paul is largely known for the numerous scandals that have cropped up throughout his career as an internet superstar – but this time, he’s using his fame and fortune for a good cause.

Paul brought a massive oscillating fan into his backyard for some good-natured stunts and hijinks – as well as an unexpected challenge that would test the compassion of his friend group.

The YouTuber admitted that he’d pulled out ten thousand dollars in cash for the challenge, explaining that he would use the fan to scatter bills throughout his yard while his friends scrambled to pocket as much cash as they could in a limited amount of time.

However, the challenge wasn’t merely for his friends; Paul drove to a street corner to pick up a homeless man to take part in the festivities, stating that he hoped his friends would be generous enough to give their own share of the profits to the less fortunate participant.

In a heartwarming turn of events, the majority of Paul’s friend group gave everything they had grabbed to the homeless man, who told Paul that his name was Dave.

“I really thank you guys for what you did for me,” Dave thanked Paul on their drive back to the street corner. “You guys are really cool.”

Dave said that he would use his newfound wealth to purchase two pairs of shoes and a radio.

This wouldn’t be Logan Paul’s first foray into charity, by far; the YouTuber likewise held a major charity drive to benefit  Swedish mental health organization “The Kevin and Margaret Hines Foundation” as part of his campaign to aid YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg in his battle with T-Series in late 2018.

Paul also pledged to donate $1 million to suicide prevention organizations following his major debacle in Japan’s Aokigahara ‘Suicide Forest’ in early 2018, where he’d filmed the body of a suicide victim as part of a controversial vlog that made waves worldwide.

Despite Paul’s major blunder at the beginning of the year, he managed to land on Forbe’s list of 2018’s top ten highest earning YouTubers, raking in an estimated $14.5 million.

Paul is now gearing up for his boxing rematch with fellow YouTuber and rival KSI, which is set to take place in November 2019.
