Controversial YouTuber Logan Paul broke some solemn news on the morning of April 6, notifying his followers of the loss of his Pomeranian pup, ‘Kong da Savage.’
In an Instagram post, Paul revealed that Kong had been killed by a coyote in the middle of the night, saying that the tiny dog was overwhelmed against the likes of the wild animal.
“… my son Kong da Savage was taken by a coyote last night from our front yard,” Paul said of the situation. “Despite his savagery, he didn’t stand a chance. Fuck.”
Paul gave a pained, if humorous, take on the situation, claiming that he would get revenge on the “yotes” for attacking Kong.
Paul’s post incited an outpour of support from social media stars across the platform, with the likes of Instagram model Sommer Ray and ‘Tik Tok’ star Caden Conrique expressing their sympathy for Kong’s passing in the comments.
Even longtime rival Olajide ‘KSI’ Olatunji paid his respects to Paul with a sympathetic Tweet, writing, “Sorry to hear about Kong, bro.”
Paul appeared to appreciate KSI’s comments, replying with a, “Respect, thank you man.”

Who was Kong da Savage?
Kong was featured in a number of Paul’s vlogs and videos, and even appeared in episodes of his ‘imPaulsive’ podcast from time to time.
Kong wasn’t the only furry member of the Maverick family, either; Paul also has a pet mini pig, ‘Pearl Bing Bing,’ as well as a Sun Conure parrot whose name coined the Maverick brand.

Paul’s new Maverick motivation
The loss of Paul’s Pomeranian follows his “get one, give one” initiative, where every purchase of a Maverick hoodie through his website will also donate a hoodie to a child in need.
Paul claimed that he wants to start using his massive presence on YouTube to “inspire and create change,” as well as make a massive turnaround in regards to his past controversies.
“As you guys know, I’ve done a lot of bullshit in my life,” Paul said of his initiative. “But recently I came to the revelation: I want to do some good shit.”
Paul has likewise expressed a desire to step away from YouTube, hoping to branch out into music, stand-up comedy, and filmmaking – and even claimed that being a YouTuber is “wack.”
While Paul’s comments earned him ample backlash, the YouTuber has yet to back down on the matter, and his latest initiative could be proof of his desire for major change in the near future.
UPDATE: Logan Paul has since uploaded an emotional YouTube video describing the incident in full, claiming that two coyotes pulled off a “cunning abduction plan” after jumping his front fence and taking Kong from the premises.
