Controversial YouTuber Logan Paul has expressed an earnest desire to move away from the video platform in the past – and now, it seems that he’s finally settled on an alternative career path.
Following his boxing match with YouTuber KSI in August 2018, Paul has disclosed an acute interest in fighting full-time – most markedly in mixed martial arts.
While Paul’s subsequent efforts to join the UFC were promptly dashed, that isn’t stopping the vlogger from chasing his goal, revealing in a Tweet on May 28 that he hopes to “pursue a career in fighting.”

Responses to Paul’s Tweet were largely mixed, with some fans wishing the YouTuber the best of luck in his pursuit, while others were markedly less than optimistic.
“And end your YouTube career while you’re at it?” one critic wrote of his statement.
“Would be funny to watch him get absolutely wrecked, yeah?” another said.

Even professional mixed martial artist Cris Cyborg got in on the action, asking Paul if he wanted to stop by her gym – an idea suggested by UFC fighter Michael Chiesa shortly after Paul’s fight with KSI in 2018.
When you going to stop by @CrisCyborgGym then?

While both Jake and Logan Paul have made multiple jabs at UFC president Dana White in an attempt to nab a spot in the octagon, White claimed that he should “be arrested” if he ever let the two set foot in the org – despite other industry pros speculating that the YouTuber might stand a solid chance in a real fight.

UFC champion Tyron Woodley commented on the possibility during an episode of TMZ’s Hollywood Beatdown in October 2018, where he appeared to be confident that Paul was going to get an official fight in the UFC.
“He’s gonna fight in the UFC,” Woodley said. “Dana is not a fool. He’s gonna fight. Mark my words – Logan Paul will fight in the UFC.”

Popular podcast host and MMA commentator Joe Rogan likewise spoke out on the matter, claiming that Paul was “way better than CM Punk” and stating that the YouTuber “actually knows how to fight” in reference to his match against KSI.
Paul is set to face off with KSI once more in a rematch in November 2019, although an exact date and venue have yet to be announced as of this article’s publication.
