Popular Twitch streamer ‘Mizkif’ provided fans with a grim update via Twitter on July 24, claiming that he was “stuck” in a mental hospital – and now, he’s finally given fans the backstory on exactly why he was admitted, in the first place.
While Mizkif’s initial Tweet claimed that he had suffered symptoms of a panic attack, he likewise stated that he’d been in a mental hospital for “the past few days” – a development for which he offered no explanation.
However, he finally spilled the beans on his hospital journey during a Twitch stream on July 26, admitting that his description of his symptoms had led to a serious misunderstanding with EMTs.
They dont let you have phones here so i gotta make this quick.

Mizkif explains his trip to a mental hospital
According to Mizkif, he’d claimed that he’d felt like he was “going to die” while in an ambulance, prompting medical staff to admit him to a mental ward.
“I said something along the lines of, ‘This sucks, I feel like I’m gonna die,’” the streamer explained. “…They have to take that seriously. …They are liable. Once you say that, anything about death like that, you are liable.”
Mizkif went on to claim that he’d been made to sign a waiver that required him to speak with a psychiatrist, which saw him transferred to a mental hospital without access to his phone or outside contact outside of regular visiting hours.

Thankfully for Mizkif, he wasn’t alone in his impromptu psych ward visit: fellow Twitch streamer Maya booked a last-minute flight to New Jersey after being made aware of his condition – although she didn’t plan on not being able to stay with him at the hospital.
Mizkif’s concerning heart condition
While Mizkif has since been released and is back to his regularly scheduled streaming, this wouldn’t be the first time he’s suffered the heart-related symptoms that saw him take a ride in an ambulance.
The streamer has previously mentioned that he suffers from a heart condition known as viral myocarditis, which can weaken the organ, lead to an abnormal heartbeat, and even result in death.
Despite the apparent severity of his condition, Mizkif remains positive, and even made hilarious jokes during his story about the debacle, letting fans know that he is safe, sound, and stable.
