Twitch star Matthew ‘Mizkif’ Rinaudo paused his stream to speak with a viewer that had sent a worrying message in the chat.
Mizkif is a popular variety and IRL [In-Real-Life] streamer that’s known for his entertaining and sometimes wholesome broadcasts.
In one stream, he showed just how much he cares about his viewers as he spotted a worrying message in the middle of a busy chat and took a break from his game to check up on the person.
The American was streaming on New Year’s Eve when he saw the message from a viewer saying they were thinking about self-harm.
He immediately stopped what he was doing and reached out to them. He said: “Buddy for the love of God. Look, I saw your messages, and… it’s ok. Are you ok, before we do anything, are you ok?”
The viewer simply wrote: “I’m sorry guys” in the chat, but Matthew kept trying, asking them if they were ok and suggesting to call ‘1-800-273-8255’ – the national helpline

Mizkif then continued to support the viewer, inviting them to stay on the stream, hang out, and to join his Discord.
The viewer replied not long after, saying “this is what I needed” and that “this makes me happy” pointing to the support of Mizkif and his community.
However, the streamer also knew that it’s important for someone in such a situation to get help from someone qualified and pushed for them to call the helpline.
In the end, the viewer thanked Mizkif for the support and said they would call the national helpline, while also accepting his invitation to hang out. As the stream went on, the user could be seen popping in and out of chat, consoled by Mizkif and his community.
