YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson has taken his friends back a few years to their boy scouts days, but with a twist. In true MrBeast fashion, he put $10,000 on the line for whoever could earn the most badges.
MrBeast’s entire come-up has been based around his generosity, giving away literally millions of dollars to friends and strangers alike.
As such, it’s no surprise to see him continue the trend and find new ways to share his good fortune with his friends, and this series of boy scout challenges seems like one of the most inventive ways to do it.
MrBeast starts off by laying out the rules, which are fairly simple: all four of his cohorts will complete a list of challenges, including fire-starting, rock climbing, and archery among other things, and earn a badge for each challenge they complete.
There was a total of 12 badges up for grabs, and each participant took it in turns to try and earn each one. Beast even had a real boy scout, ten years old, on the sidelines ready to help out and offer help when it was needed.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a MrBeast video without a couple of curveballs thrown in there, and there were challenges such as the “basketball challenge” and the “Sunkist challenge,” which saw players have to drive back to a park they were at to collect MrBeast’s bottle of soda.

Obviously, at some point MrBeast decided to up the stakes, doubling the prize money to a mouth-watering $20,000 to entice his friends to try that little bit harder.
By the end of the day, there was a three-way tie with each contestant having 10 badges each, so Donaldson had to go back to the drawing board to figure out how best to crown a winner.
The answer, it would appear, was fairly simple: just go back to the first task and get contestants to start a fire again. With Chris getting his fire going first – using one of his socks to help – he took home the $20,000 and left the others empty-handed.
The money, MrBeast said, could be used to “care for his unborn child,” a thoughtful gesture and a figure that would go pretty far to cover the costs of bringing a baby into the world.
You would think that MrBeast is running out of ideas by now, but he keeps managing to find ways to give money away that are new and original – and that might be exactly the kind of friend we all need.
