Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson is one of YouTube’s biggest stars, boasting over 23 million subscribers thanks to his over-the-top videos and generous cash donations – but being a huge star comes with a price.
MrBeast’s content is arguably some of the most popular on the site, with his “free car dealership” video sitting at number one on trending a day after posting – but such popular content is bound to birth imitators.
In fact, one of Donaldson’s buddies pointed out a blatant copycat in a Twitter post in early May, noting that YouTuber “Morgz” had obviously copied a slew of his videos.

While MrBeast responded to the callout with a lighthearted post, the issue was brought up again in an August 29 video – this time, by another member of his crew, who jokingly offered to box the copycat.
“He must have watched a Morgz video,” his friend said, after being told that another crew member was currently puking. “I’m going to England, Morgz, come on. 1v1 me, boxing match, let’s go!”
MrBeast himself remained staunchly neutral on the subject, replying, “I have nothing to do with this” in response to his friend’s challenge.

This latest response from the YouTuber follows his previous statements on the subject, when friend Chandler Hallow pointed out the copycat three months ago.
“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” MrBeast wrote – but not everyone was satisfied with his response, with FaZe co-owner Ricky Banks claiming that YouTube’s “Good Samaritan” was “too nice.”
“True, but not everything I do is original, either,” MrBeast replied. “Tons of people copy me everyday, but it would be hypocritical if I were to get mad at them.”

MrBeast isn’t the only top YouTuber to boast a dogged copycat, either: YouTube king Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg also sports his own imitator, going by the name Enes Batur, who copies every aspect of the Swede’s YouTube videos down to the thumbnails.
With all the YouTube boxing drama unfolding this month, the “boxing challenge” against Morgz comes off as a topical joke – but considering MrBeast’s kindness, it doesn’t look like the copycat will touch gloves with his crew member any time soon.
