MrBeast has uploaded his latest video to Twitter/X, and users on the site are accusing it of being an “undisclosed ad” to inflate views.
With over 233M subscribers, Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson is the world’s biggest single YouTuber and doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon.
His latest video, $1 Car vs $100,000,000 Car, was uploaded onto Twitter/X in its entirety after MrBeast was influenced by CEO Elon Musk to see how many views one of his videos would do on the site.
However, the MrBeast clip has been accused of being an “undisclosed ad” to inflate views as people are seeing it show up in their timelines more than usual.
MrBeast’s Twitter/X video views may be inflated
In the days after the video was uploaded, many took notice of the fact that they saw MrBeast’s tweet on the timeline more than usual.
One user, Ryan Broderick, said that he’s heard several reports of the video being shown in the timeline more often than not.
“MrBeast’s video is clearly being promoted as an undisclosed ad across the platform to juice its numbers,” he said.

Many others took to their pages to share the same thoughts, including YouTuber Roman Atwood.
“This is being served to me every time I open the app,” he said.

However, it’s not uncommon for monetized videos on the platform to get a boost in views across Twitter/X. With the pre-roll ad on MrBeast’s video, it also gets priority on the timeline.
Not to mention, nearly every Twitter/X employee, including CEO Elon Musk, has retweeted Donaldson’s upload. Just Musk alone has 168M followers on the site, which translates to tens of millions of views on all of his tweets.
His quote-retweet has been viewed over 58M times as of writing.
As for how much revenue MrBeast is going to make from the clip — we’re going to have to wait to see, as Jimmy says he’ll share after the video has been up for a full week.
