Matthew ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag explained how FaZe Clan are the biggest esports organization, despite being the CEO of his own organization in 100 Thieves.
Dennis ‘Cloak‘ Lepore, formerly of FaZe Clan, was a guest on the CouRage and Nadeshot Show and he answered questions ranging from what it’s like to live with Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney and what his current relationship is with his former org.
This was before the news of Cloak leaving FaZe came out, so he obviously held back a bit in his answer, but Nadeshot revealed why FaZe Clan are the biggest esports organization around.
Cloak and Tfue are two high profile names to leave FaZe.
“I think the one thing you can’t ignore is that FaZe Clan is easily, by far the biggest esports organization,” he said. “They set a culture around their creators that was so innovative. That’s one thing I always had a great respect for FaZe Clan.”
It’s high praise coming from the owner of a rival organization, but it didn’t stop there.
“It’s almost like a cult-like following at this point, where FaZe is very influential as a culture in the gaming community and that’s something that I aspire to build with 100 Thieves.”

FaZe has been around much longer than 100 Thieves so it makes sense that FaZe is much larger.

100 Thieves has had a very strong 2019 with numerous major signings such as Jack ‘CouRageJD‘ Dunlop, content creation team The Mob, and most recently Fortnite pro Arkhram.
There’s still plenty of time left in the year for 100T to continue picking up big names so don’t count them out any time soon.
If they continue with these signings and stellar content creation, it won’t be long until 100 Thieves rivals FaZe Clan in the way Nadeshot is talking about.
