One of Twtich’s largest personalities and Fortnite streamers Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has won a Streamy, an award series recognizing the internet’s top creators across multiple entertainment backgrounds.
Ninja took home the prize for the Streamy’s Gaming category, where he vied with the likes of massive esports and entertainment group FaZe, as well as long-time gaming YouTuber Markiplier. Others in the category included Minecraft YouTuber PrestonPlayz and largely Fortnite-centric content creator Typical Gamer.
Ninja likewise won the Streamy’s Social Video category for best Live Streamer, beating out massive streamers Pokimane, NICKMERCS, TSM’s Myth, and Critical Role.

However, Ninja wasn’t the only notable personality to take away an award in the space: longtime YouTuber Shane Dawson took home a Streamy award in the Editing category in partnership with content creator Andrew Siwicki, beating out massively popular vlogger Casey Neistat.

Shane’s victory was in recognition of his documentary series covering divisive social media convention Tanacon, titled ‘The Truth About Tanacon.’ Dawson has recently made waves in the YouTube space for his documentaries over controversial figures on the platform, including the likes of Jeffree Star and Jake Paul.
Ninja and Shane marked two of the 24 content creators recognized at the Streamy’s Premier Awards event in Santa Monica, California, just ahead of the show’s main event, which will take place on Monday, October 22nd.
This year’s Streamy Awards mark the eight iteration of the series, and is the first in its new ‘Brand Awards’ initiative.
