Popular paid content website OnlyFans will stop allowing sexual content beginning October, the platform announced on August 19.
The site, which features numerous Twitch streamers such as Amouranth, Indiefoxx, Alinity, and xoAeriel, will prohibit “sexually explicit” content while still allowing nudity.
This will be part of a new policy, which the platform is still waiting to unveil and publicly release.
“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” OnlyFans said in a statement.
OnlyFans bans adult content
“Creators will continue to be allowed to post content containing nudity as long as it is consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy,” they added but didn’t clarify the extent of the nudity allowed.
That said, OnlyFans is planning to announce more details regarding the change to this more safe environment in the coming days and will be helping guide creators with the transition process.
According to Axios, the decision comes as the site struggles to find investors and came at the request of its banking and payout partners.

Corrina Kopf weighs in on new OF guidelines
“The problem with OF is the only people being affected is SW, and not only are they affected but being directly attacked. You can still post nudity… While I won’t be affected, shame on OF for the direction they’re going,” Corinna Kopf explained while also advertising Fansly as an alternative.

The news will surely come as a hit to some big content creators. Corinna Kopf reportedly made over $1m in just 48 hours on OnlyFans. Meanwhile, Twitch star Alinity says she made more in two months than she would have in ten years steaming.
At the time of writing, OnlyFans has a whopping 130 million users with over 2 million creators. It’s unclear what the company expects its site audience to look like in the months leading up to and following the content ban.
