A TikToker has divided opinion after ‘rescuing’ 1.4 million frog eggs and releasing a “frog army,” with the user’s videos garnering millions of views.
TikTok is a platform for creators of all kinds that houses any manner of content. Popularized due to its Musically style dance trends, the app has grown to include anything from gaming tips to heartwarming stories.
However, with a platform as popular as TikTok, you can expect a fair share of unusual content. Some creators gain a following by pretending to have famous parents, and a goldfish once went viral for knowing how to drive a car.
No matter your interests, TikTok has something to offer everyone. Especially for anyone who’s into raising millions of frog for their own personal army.

Others suggested thinfrog needed a plan to clean up all of the dead frogs since it isn’t feasible to provide the resources to keep them all alive.
Thinfrog’s “frog army” hatches
In June, thinfrog explained in a new video: “95 days ago I rescued 1.4 million frog eggs and put them in my pond for a frog army and now they [are] leaving the pond. And now a million little frogs [are] hopping around the garden. I don’t think I can walk on the grass anymore. This is the biggest frog army ever but I kind of regret this now no one can go in the garden.”
They went on to reveal that their garden as well as the neighbor’s gardens had been taken over by the creatures.

Commenters were stunned by the sheer number of frogs, with one comment with over 180,000 likes reading: “Kids’ll be learning about the frog disaster of 2022 in the history textbooks.”
“Sir there is literally an ecological disaster sitting in your garden,” wrote another.
Thinfrog continued to receive criticism for their frog army, with one user saying: “A lot of these regions are already so ecologically fragile. Doing this is irresponsible at best.”
Backlash is continuing against the TikToker as they continue to document the insane number of frogs they released, but it’s not clear yet how the situation will escalate in the coming weeks.
