YouTube sensation Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg appears to be reaping the rewards of his return to Minecraft, after reaching his most impressive landmark on the video-sharing platform to date.
The Swedish internet personality was locked into a fierce subscriber battle with the Indian production company T-Series throughout the opening of 2019, but has since fallen away from the rival – who boasts an impressive tally of over 106 million.
However, that won’t get in the way of Pewds’ fans celebrating his most impressive achievement on YouTube to date, as he has now surpassed the 98 million mark on his own channel.
The battle between him and T-Series was quite often dubbed the race to one hundred million and while he might be some way away from boasting those sort of statistics, there’s no doubt that he will be delighted about the ever-growing size of his fanbase.
PewDiePie has been dabbling in the world of Mojang’s world-renowned sandbox game, Minecraft, during June and July, which was clearly a popular move for fans.
One of the funniest moments, without doubt, came from one of his first videos back on the title. It was jam-packed with jump scares and hilarious moments as the content creator got to grips with life in the block world once again.

Long-term fans of the Swede will be well aware that the life of building farms, harvesting crops, and fending off Creepers was where it all started, and his return has been welcomed with open arms just the same.
The content creator seems to have a knack for following trends and raising the bar with his videos year on year, with many streamers now playing Minecraft. This isn’t a trend that PewDiePie can claim to have created alone, though, with the rise of KEEMSTAR’s Minecraft Monday tournaments rising in popularity.
Whether or not Pewds will be able to get back on track to compete with T-Series in the summer of 2019 and beyond remains to be seen, but despite the Indian production company creating quite the margin between the two, his fanbase is clearly resilient.
