YouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is still locked in his fierce war against Bollywood label T-Series, but he may have some room to breathe after hitting yet another milestone before his rivals.
PewDiePie has held the top spot on YouTube for a number of years, but T-Series came out of nowhere in 2018 looking to steal his crown away. The Indian production company has pushed the Swede all the way, but Pewds continues to stay ahead – fending off a number of close pushes.
The Swede initially admitted that he didn’t care all that much about the subscriber war but has pulled out a few tricks, including a diss track and live streaming games such as Fortnite and Roblox, to boost his already massive subscriber count.
Now, he has hit another major milestone – leaving T-Series behind.
Since recieving some recent help from Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Justin Roiland of ‘Ricky and Morty’ fame, Pewds has taken back a strong position in the war with T-Series.

Since Musk and Roiland’s Meme Review appearance on February 22, Pewds has crossed the 87 million subscribers mark. His subscriber lead has also grown to over 115,000 – after the battle had reached its lowest point only a few days prior, with T-Series coming within nine thousand subscribers of taking the crown.
T-Series had originally been projected to surpass the Swede in early January, but that has yet to happen – with the YouTube king continuing to fend off any attempts of a defeat, no matter how dire the situation looks.
How long PewDiePie is able to remain on top of the YouTube mountain remains to be seen – but it appears that he’ll have a bit of breathing space for now if he wants to celebrate his 87 million subscribers milestone.
