Popular YouTuber Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le is being hit with yet another controversy, after giving away what appear to be expired Amazon gift codes in a video on January 3.
The YouTuber offered up the codes, worth $10 – $20, as an apology for his partnership with possible gambling and scam website ‘MysteryBrand.net’ – but it appears that this show of good faith may have been yet another scam.
A YouTuber by the name of ‘Good Day Sir’ uploaded a video discussing the issue on January 6, where they claimed that they called Amazon’s customer service branch to confirm if four of the codes in question had already been claimed.

According to the YouTuber, the codes had been claimed in May of 2018 – nearly eight months prior to RiceGum’s apology video, where he gave away the codes in order to make amends with angry fans due to his involvement in the Mystery Box fiasco.
‘Good Day Sir’ likewise uploaded a video of his conversation with Amazon as further proof, where a representative confirmed over the phone that the cards had, indeed, been claimed prior to the making of RiceGum’s video.

While RiceGum has yet to respond to this latest accusation via his social media accounts, the YouTuber lashed out at H3H3’s Ethan Klein, who slammed his apology video following the gambling debacle on January 4.
However, RiceGum did express remorse due to his partnership with the brand, calling himself an “asshole” and recognizing that he had promoted gambling to his relatively young audience.
However, Jake Paul, who was also involved with the website, took to Twitter to remind his fans not to gamble – a move that garnered him ample scrutiny from his critics.
