World of Warcraft Classic may have only released on August 26, but WoW Classic has become an immediate hit with players and streamers alike, with the game’s Twitch category hitting an astounding 1 million viewers on release day, while queues to get on were so long that some people had to wait hours to get into the game.
Among those grinding the game is shroud, whose streaming habits already show the hold that Wow Classic has over him.
WoW Classic has become an immediate smash hit on Twitch.
The former CS:GO pro dropped a 25-hour stream following the release of the game, working his way up to Level 25 before his PC bluescreened on him, which spelled the end of that broadcast.
Already though, shroud was showing signs of a full-blown WoW addiction, and even he was forced to admit it as he revealed his plans to get his girlfriend to log him back into the game to make sure he didn’t waste time queuing to get onto his server.
“I’ll tell her to log me on at 8,” said the streamer as he explained his plan to his audience. “God, this is such a grind. I can’t believe I’m committing this much to WoW, what is wrong with me? I’m going all the way. I’m down, I want to hit 60, and I don’t want to be late. I’m a nerd. I’m going to get some sleep, I’ll be back on in seven hours.”

True to his word, shroud fired his stream back up eight hours later, complaining that the queue took “a little longer than anticipated,” before thanking his fans for their help after some sent him green items for him to disenchant for XP.
Shroud is one of many Twitch streamers who have left behind their normal content schedule to hop on WoW Classic, although not everyone is a fan, with Dr Disrespect complaining about the game while explaining why he had no intention of joining the grind.
For shroud though, the road to level 60 continues, and it seems he is ready to put in as many hours as it takes so he can prepare for battle in the incredibly popular title.
