Chance ‘Sodapoppin’ Morris has explained why he is bewildered by some of the comments directed at fellow streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys on social media.
advert promoting her Twitch channel was played during broadcasts of other streamers, who were upset at the company for advertising another stream, potentially causing them to lose viewers.
A clip of Anys crying after the death of a friend was then posted to the LivestreamFails subreddit, with some commenting that they believed Pokimane was using the tragedy as a way to get donations, something that she vehemently denied.

While performing a question and answer session on his stream, Sodapoppin began to discuss things he hated, and specifically mentioned a recent video made about Anys that discussed the way she used copyright claims.
“That person without a doubt is a shitty person, and I don’t like seeing that person receive any praise. Why is this dude receiving praise? I hate that stuff,” Morris told his chat.

The company has said they will no longer promote events featuring Twitch’s top stars on other creators’ channels, stating that they recognized that their “good intentions caused concern across their broader Twitch creators.”
