Twitch streamer Alec Ludford was brought to tears after an emotional moment when fellow broadcaster Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys donated $500 to help with his fiance’s cancer treatments.
For many, streaming on Twitch is an opportunity to show off their gameplay or fun moments, but for IRL streamer Alec and his fiancée Stefany, their recent streams have been focused around the treatment she is receiving after being diagnosed with Leukemia.
Since her diagnosis, Stefany has been undergoing chemotherapy and has been in hospital since October 2, as she continues to fight against her disease with the support of her husband Alec and their Twitch community.
Alec and Stefany warmed the hearts of many on November 30 when he proposed to his girlfriend in their hospital room, telling her how proud he was of her and telling her that he wants to spend his life with her.
“I love you, and this is a sign of my commitment to you,” he said, while Twitch chat celebrated the proposal, with Stefany proudly wearing his great-grandmother’s ring.
It seems that this moment caught the attention of one of Twitch’s biggest stars, as Pokimane stopped by their stream on November 4 to offer some money to help cover the costs of Stefany’s treatment.

“$500 from Pokimane,” he read from his phone. “Wow, thank you so very much. Thank you for that. You have no idea what that means for both of us, thank you.”
Stefany joked: “Now Alec’s going to leave me to go to the casino!”
As it stands, Stefany is still undergoing treatment, tweeting on November 26 that her Leukemia is “getting worse,” and the doctors are increasing her medication in an attempt to help her fight back against the terrible disease.
Guys please keep me in your prayers. Got some bad news today, in the most simplest terms the Leukemia is getting worse and I have to do another bone marrow biopsy to determine if they should just increase the medication I am on or start more aggressive treatments. So looks like

The couple accepts any donations towards helping Stefany’s treatment through Alec’s Streamlabs donation page, with any money received also put towards taking care of her once she is discharged from hospital, covering her trips to the Cancer Center, and food for her immuno-suppressed diet.
